Playing Spud Arena with friends: invite links, room codes and private parties

Spud Arena has no accounts and therefore no friends list. Instead, every match has a six-digit room code, and the game can turn that code into a link. Both methods take only a few seconds.

Invite links

During a round, the room code is shown in the corner of the screen next to an Invite button. Pressing the button copies an invite link. Send the link by any means, for example in a message or an email. Anyone who opens it joins your room directly.

If the browser does not allow the game to copy to the clipboard, the room code is shown instead so that it can be passed on by hand.

Room codes

The code can also be used without a link. Your friend opens the game, presses Join with code in the lobby and enters the six digits.

Private parties

To play without other players joining, press Create a party in the lobby. This opens a room that only people with your code or link can enter. Two friends can start immediately, and others can join at any time. The party uses the map and the game mode selected in the lobby when it was created.

Full rooms

A match has eight seats. When all eight are taken, the code does not admit further players until someone leaves. In that case, create a new party and share the new link.

Different devices

Invite links work across all supported devices. Players on computers, phones and tablets can share the same room. The default controls for each device are described in how to play, and the game modes page explains which modes suit a group.
