Coins, cosmetic items and achievements in Spud Arena
Spud Arena has an in-game currency, a shop for cosmetic items and a set of achievements. This page explains how they are related.
Earning coins
Each player knocked out during a round awards 10 coins, or 15 coins for a hit on the sprout eyes. In addition, every achievement awards a one-off bonus when it is completed, ranging from 20 coins for the first match to 500 coins for the largest achievements.
Coins are stored against the anonymous guest number, which is kept in a browser cookie. They remain available on the same device and browser. Clearing the browser's site data removes the guest number and starts a new one.
Coins exist only inside the game. They cannot be bought with real money or exchanged for it.
The cosmetic shop
The Customize tab in the lobby contains the following categories:
- Potato colours: four are free; sweet potato, purple, baby cream and red-skinned can be bought with coins.
- Hats: twelve items, from a beanie and a party hat to a frog, a duck and a propeller cap.
- Outfits: eight items, including stripes, a hoodie, a sailor suit and overalls.
- Accessories and expressions: small items that change the character's face or add details to it.
Items are classed as common, rare or epic, and the shop offers a few items at a discount at any time. Purchased items remain attached to the guest number.
Achievements
There are 21 achievements. Each awards coins once when it is completed.

The Profile tab shows which achievements have been completed and the progress towards the next one.
Notes
Reward videos grant weapons, not coins. Red vs Blue produces assists quickly because teammates are usually nearby, and rounds with the Oven Rifle are the most direct way to complete the sprout-eye achievements. The weapons guide describes that rifle.
